Spatola Thermal Grizzly TG-AS-3

The Thermal Grizzly Spatula TG-AS-3 is a compact, purpose-built tool for precise application and even spreading of thermal paste on CPUs, GPUs and other heat-dissipating surfaces. Crafted from a heat-resistant material with an ergonomic handle, the spatula delivers controlled pressure and a smooth edge for thin, uniform thermal compound layers. Its size and shape allow access to tight areas on motherboards and cooling blocks without scratching or contaminating surfaces.

Advantages

The spatula's heat-resistant construction and durable finish ensure repeated use without deformation. The ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during repeated applications, while the thin, rigid blade enables accurate control of paste thickness and coverage. Designed for compatibility with common thermal compounds, the tool minimizes waste and helps achieve consistent thermal contact between processors and coolers.

Suitable for

• Applying and spreading thermal paste on CPUs and GPUs
• Preparing surfaces for heatsinks, water blocks and air coolers
• Small-scale electronics cooling maintenance and repairs
• PC building and component swapping where precise paste application is required

Key specifications

• Material: heat-resistant, rigid polymer designed for repeated use
• Blade shape: thin, flat edge for even spreading
• Handle: ergonomic profile for controlled grip
• Dimensions: compact form factor suitable for tight spaces (hand tool size)
• Cleaning: easy to wipe clean after use

How to use

Apply a small amount of thermal paste to the CPU or GPU surface, then use the spatula blade to spread the compound into a thin, uniform layer. Hold the handle at a low angle and use steady, even strokes from the center outward to achieve complete coverage without air pockets. After spreading, inspect the surface to ensure there are no gaps or excess buildup; remove any surplus paste with a lint-free cloth or isopropyl alcohol if needed.

Recommendations

Use the spatula only with non-abrasive cleaning agents and avoid excessive force that could bend the blade. Keep the tool clean and store it in a dry place to preserve its shape. For best thermal performance, follow the thermal paste manufacturer's guidance on amount and spread pattern when using this spatula.
