Facade construction in outdoor environments demands fasteners that resist corrosion while maintaining a clean, finished appearance. SPAX facade screws with a lens countersunk head and BLAX coating in A2 stainless steel address this need, providing a secure and visually unobtrusive fastening solution for exterior cladding and related applications.

Who is it for

These screws are intended for professionals and skilled DIYers working on outdoor facade projects, such as attaching wooden cladding, battens, or trim boards to substructures. They are suitable for use in coastal or humid areas where corrosion resistance is critical, and where a neat, countersunk finish is desired.

Main features

• Stainless steel A2 construction for high corrosion resistance in outdoor environments.
• BLAX coating provides a black finish that blends with dark facade materials and offers additional surface protection.
• Lens countersunk head allows for a flush or slightly recessed installation, creating a smooth surface.
• Torx T20 drive ensures positive bit engagement, reducing cam-out and making installation efficient.
• Partial thread design provides strong clamping force while allowing the screw to pull the material tight.
• Diameter of 4.5 mm and length of 43 mm suit common facade board thicknesses and substructure dimensions.
• Pack of 200 pieces offers ample quantity for medium to large projects.

Tips

Pre-drilling may be required in hardwoods or near board edges to prevent splitting. Use a Torx T20 bit and adjust the screwdriver clutch to avoid overdriving. For best corrosion resistance, ensure the screw heads are not damaged during installation, as this can compromise the protective coating.
