Spray aerosol di test Hekatron Test Aerosol 918/5 250 ml per verifica rilevatori di fumo e allarmi

Hekatron Test Aerosol 918/5 is a 250 ml aerosol spray formulated to simulate smoke and verify the response of smoke detectors and alarm systems without generating real combustion products. The spray produces a controlled aerosol cloud that mimics particle densities typical for early-stage smoke, allowing technicians and facility staff to perform functional checks, periodic maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting of optical and photoelectric detectors safely and consistently.

Advantages

The test aerosol provides repeatable and measurable detector activation conditions while avoiding soot, residues and fire hazards associated with live smoke tests. Its compact 250 ml canister is suitable for transport and on-site use, and the spray delivers a fine, short-lived aerosol that disperses quickly after testing. The product is compatible with a wide range of optical/photoelectric detectors and supports standardized maintenance workflows.

Suitable for

• Functional testing of optical and photoelectric smoke detectors
• Commissioning and acceptance tests of alarm systems
• Routine maintenance checks in residential, commercial and industrial installations
• Field troubleshooting to verify detector sensitivity and response

Key specifications

• Form: pressurised aerosol spray
• Volume: 250 ml canister
• Application: produces fine aerosol particles to simulate smoke for detector testing
• Compatibility: intended for optical/photoelectric smoke detectors and many alarm system types
• Behavior: short-lived aerosol cloud that disperses after testing without leaving soot

How to use

Hold the canister upright and apply short bursts of aerosol toward the detector from the recommended distance indicated by the detector or the device manufacturer. Activate the detector's test mode if available to prevent false alarms in monitored systems and follow local procedures for isolating or notifying monitoring centres. Avoid prolonged spraying; use brief pulses and observe detector response. Allow the aerosol to dissipate completely before restoring normal system operation.

Recommendations

Use the spray in well-ventilated areas and follow all safety instructions on the canister. Do not use the aerosol near open flames or hot surfaces. When testing monitored systems, notify the alarm receiving centre or temporarily place the system in test mode to prevent false dispatches. Store the product according to manufacturer guidance and keep out of reach of children.
