SSD SanDisk 1TB portatile USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 nero

The SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD 1TB delivers high-performance NVMe storage in a compact, rugged enclosure. With USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) connectivity and up to 2000 MB/s read/write speeds, this black 1TB external SSD is designed for fast transfers and reliable mobile use. The forged aluminum body serves as a heatsink to help maintain sustained performance, and built-in password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption helps protect private data.

Advantages

This portable SSD combines NVMe-level speed with a durable forged-aluminium chassis that improves thermal performance. It provides up to 2000 MB/s read/write throughput for quicker file transfers and workflow efficiency. The drive offers physical resilience with up to 2-meter drop protection and IP55 resistance to water and dust, plus a carabiner loop for secure transport. Hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption and password protection add a layer of data security.

Suitable for

• Professional photographers and videographers needing fast offload and editing-ready storage
• Content creators working with large RAW, photo or video files
• Mobile professionals who require compact, rugged external storage
• Users who want encrypted portable backups and secure file transport

How to use

Connect the SSD to a compatible USB Type-C port using the supplied cable or a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable. For optimal performance, use a host device that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 and NVMe over USB. Install any optional SanDisk software to enable password protection and manage firmware updates. Transfer files by copying or moving data using your operating system’s file manager; large transfers will benefit from the sustained speeds provided by the aluminium chassis.

Recommendations

Use the included password protection to enable 256-bit AES hardware encryption before storing sensitive data. Keep the drive secured to a bag or belt with the carabiner loop during travel, and avoid prolonged exposure to liquids despite IP55 rating. For maximum throughput, connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and ensure host drivers and firmware are up to date.
