PLANET IGS-5225-8P2S2X is a compact managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 Gigabit RJ-45 ports providing IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (up to 36 W per port) and two 10Gbps SFP+ uplink slots. Designed for industrial environments, it delivers 10G uplink capacity, a 66 Gbit/s switching capacity, and supports IPv4/IPv6 software VLAN routing for flexible network segmentation and management. The switch comes in an IP30 metal enclosure, supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and operates from a 48–56 V DC input across a wide temperature range for reliable use in harsh sites.

How to use

Install the IGS-5225-8P2S2X on a DIN-rail or wall mount in a suitable enclosure, connect DC 48–56 V power sources and link uplinks via SFP/SFP+ transceivers chosen for the required distance and speed. Connect PoE devices to the Gigabit ports; monitor PoE consumption via front-panel LEDs and configure PoE schedules, scheduled power recycling and alive-check in the web GUI. Use the web interface, console or SNMPv3 for VLAN routing, security policies, ring protection and diagnostics such as SFP DDM and ONVIF device detection.
