The ALLNET 112533 (ALL-SG8208M) is a managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports, full-duplex capability and a switching capacity of 32 Gbit/s. Designed for small and medium business access-edge deployments, it supports common IEEE networking standards and offers wall-mounting and fanless operation for quiet, space-saving installation.

How to use

Install the ALLNET 112533 on a wall or flat surface and connect devices to the RJ-45 Gigabit ports. Use the web-based GUI, CLI or SNMP to configure basic settings such as VLANs, link aggregation and QoS priorities. Enable security functions (ACLs, port security, IP-MAC-Port-VID binding and storm control) to restrict unauthorized access and reduce broadcast storms. For multicast deployments, enable IGMP snooping and configure filtering per port as needed.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a well-ventilated indoor location even though it is fanless, and back up configuration settings after initial setup. Use HTTPS for management access and limit SNMP/CLI access to trusted management hosts. When deploying voice or video, assign appropriate QoS priorities and, if needed, configure Voice VLAN to ensure stable latency and jitter control.
