Taglierina WESTCOTT PROFESSIONAL E-184006 lama 18 mm, corpo leggero in plastica, impugnatura ergonomica soft

The WESTCOTT PROFESSIONAL E-184006 handheld cutter features an 18 mm replaceable blade, a lightweight plastic body and an ergonomically shaped soft grip. It is designed for controlled, precise slicing of paper, cardboard, film and similar light materials in office, craft and packaging tasks. The tool is supplied as a single unit and uses a screw fastening to secure the blade in place for stable operation.

Advantages

The cutter combines a compact 18 mm blade with a lightweight plastic housing to reduce hand fatigue during repetitive cutting. The ergonomic soft grip improves handling and control for straight, accurate cuts. The screw fastening provides simple, reliable blade retention and allows safe replacement of the blade when needed. Its small size and modest weight make it easy to store or carry in a toolbox or desk drawer.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This cutter is intended for light to medium-duty tasks; it is not designed for heavy or continuous industrial cutting of thick materials such as heavy-gauge plastic, dense wood or multi-layered insulation. For thicker or high-volume cutting applications, a heavy-duty utility knife or specialized cutting tool would be more appropriate.

How to use

Hold the cutter with the soft grip in your dominant hand and align the blade with the cutting line. Apply steady, controlled pressure and move the cutter along the material in a single smooth motion for best results. To replace the blade, loosen the screw fastening, remove the spent blade carefully, insert a new compatible 18 mm blade and retighten the screw to secure it. Follow standard safety precautions: keep fingers clear of the blade edge and store the tool with the blade retracted or covered.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For precise edges, use a straight edge as a guide and perform a single steady cut rather than multiple shallow passes. Replace blades promptly when dull to maintain cutting accuracy and reduce the risk of slipping.
