The Dahua NET CAMERA 4MP LED EYEBALL HDW5449TMSELED0280BS2 is a 4MP fixed-focal IP surveillance camera with a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a 2.8 mm F1.0 lens. It records up to 2688 × 1520 resolution, supports H.265/H.264 compression and Smart H.265+/H.264+, and includes built-in warm LED illumination with an effective range up to 30 m. The camera supports multiple intelligent functions such as perimeter protection, people counting, face detection and AcuPick deep-learning search, and is suitable for continuous indoor or outdoor monitoring with IP67 protection and PoE power options.

Advantages

This Dahua 4MP LED eyeball camera provides high-resolution 2688×1520 video for detailed monitoring, strong low-light performance with F1.0 aperture and warm-light LEDs, and wide-angle coverage (112° horizontal). It integrates advanced AI features (AcuPick, SMD 3.0, IVS) for accurate target detection and refinement, supports three concurrent streams and multiple encoding formats, and offers robust cybersecurity and storage options including microSD (up to 512 GB), FTP/SFTP and NAS. The compact metal housing with IP67 rating allows reliable operation in a wide temperature range (−40 °C to +60 °C).

Suitable for

• Perimeter and entrance monitoring at commercial sites
• Retail and public-space people counting and heat mapping
• Residential or small-business outdoor surveillance
• Parking lots and vehicle detection applications

How to use

Mount the camera using the quick install mounting plate, connect power via 12 VDC or PoE and the network via the RJ-45 port. Configure video settings, encoding and streams through compatible management software (SmartPSS Lite, DSS, DMSS) or a Smart NVR; enable required AI functions such as SMD, IVS rules or face detection and set privacy masks or regions of interest. Insert a microSD card for local recording or configure FTP/NAS storage. Use browser or mobile client (iOS/Android) to view live feed and access recordings.

Recommendations

For reliable detection and optimal AI performance, mount the camera at recommended heights and angles according to installation guidelines, ensure adequate illumination for face/vehicle attribute extraction, and keep firmware and management software updated. When using both PoE and an external adapter simultaneously, disconnect one power source to avoid restart issues.
