Telecamera di sorveglianza IP Edimax IC-6220DC Covert

The Edimax IC-6220DC Covert is a wireless peephole IP security camera that replaces a standard door viewer to let you see, listen and respond to visitors from your smartphone. Designed for most door thicknesses, it preserves the original peephole function while providing live video, two-way audio, PIR motion detection and night vision up to 3 meters. The camera pairs with a separate gateway unit that connects to your router so the door unit itself can operate completely wire-free and be installed quickly as a DIY project.

Advantages

The IC-6220DC offers battery-powered, fully wireless operation via an included gateway for router connectivity, PIR infrared motion sensing to reduce false alerts, two-way audio for real-time conversation, and night vision up to 3 m. Recordings can be stored to free cloud services, NAS or other supported storage, and the camera maintains normal peephole functionality while fitting the vast majority of door thicknesses. Setup and control are performed through the free EdiLife mobile app.

Suitable for

• Monitoring front doors and entryways in homes and apartments

• Providing an added layer of security for elderly or home-alone occupants
• Discreet surveillance where a compact peephole camera is preferred

After setup you can view live video, receive motion alerts, talk through the two-way audio and access stored recordings through the app or connected cloud/NAS service.

Recommendations

Place the camera at standard door peephole height for optimal field of view, enable PIR motion sensing to reduce false alarms from light or shadows, and link a cloud or NAS account in the EdiLife app to retain recordings. Ensure the gateway remains connected to the router and the camera batteries are periodically checked to maintain uninterrupted wireless operation.
