• Power supply: batteries (standard size — check device for correct type)
• Form factor: compact handheld design with tactile buttons

How to use

Insert the correct batteries into the remote following the polarity markings. Point the remote toward the front panel of the Sony device and press the desired function button; infrared operation requires a clear line of sight between the remote emitter and the device's IR receiver. No device-specific pairing is required for standard IR command compatibility — simply use the buttons to control power, playback, volume and menu navigation on supported equipment. If a function does not respond, verify battery state, aim and distance, and ensure the target device accepts standard IR commands.

Recommendations

To maintain reliable operation, replace batteries with fresh ones when response weakens, avoid blocking the IR emitter with obstacles, and store the remote in a dry environment away from direct sunlight. For optimal compatibility, consult the documentation of the Sony device to confirm IR command support and any model-specific limitations.
