Termometro elettronico ambientale TFA-Dostmann 35.1160.01

The RAIN PRO is a wireless weather station focused on precise precipitation measurement. It includes two radio transmitters: a rain collector for measuring rainfall amount and a combined sensor for outdoor temperature and humidity. Measured values are sent wirelessly to the base station for display and storage. The station calculates sums for different periods (last 24 hours, last 7 days, up to total since commissioning) and stores monthly precipitation data for the last 12 months. Additional information such as a weather symbol (based on the integrated barometer), indoor temperature and humidity, and the current time and full date received via DCF-77 are also provided. Two extra transmitters for temperature and humidity monitoring can be added, for example in a child's room or a garage.

Advantages

RAIN PRO delivers targeted precipitation measurement with a dedicated rain collector and transmits temperature and humidity readings from an external combined sensor. The base station displays live rain animation and exact measured amounts, provides configurable 24h rain alarms, and keeps historical precipitation data for summary and comparison. Integrated barometer-based trend forecasting and DCF-77 time/date reception add convenience, while support for two additional remote sensors expands monitoring coverage.

Suitable for

• Home weather monitoring with emphasis on rainfall measurement
• Garden and allotment precipitation tracking
• Monitoring outdoor temperature and humidity near living spaces
• Comparing monthly and yearly rainfall totals for small properties
• Remote monitoring in rooms like nursery or garage with extra sensors

Key specifications

• Product type: Wireless weather station focused on precipitation
• Included sensors: Rain collector (precipitation), combined outdoor sensor (temperature and humidity)
• Additional sensors: Supports two further temperature/humidity transmitters
• Data transfer: Wireless transmission to base station
• Recorded periods: Last 24 h, last 7 days, total since commissioning, monthly data for last 12 months
• Alarms: Configurable 24h rain alarm
• Additional functions: Integrated barometer for weather symbol/forecast, DCF-77 time and date reception
• Power: Battery operation (refer to manufacturer specifications for battery types and life)

How to use

Place the rain collector in an open outdoor location where rain can fall freely into the measuring container from all sides. Mount the combined outdoor sensor in a sheltered, ventilated position away from direct heat and sunlight to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. The transmitters send data wirelessly to the base station; follow the included setup instructions to pair sensors and configure time and alarm thresholds. View live rainfall on the base station display, access summarized periods and monthly records, and connect up to two additional sensors if needed.

Recommendations

Install the rain collector on a stable, level surface or mount according to the manual to avoid measurement errors. Position the outdoor sensor in a shaded, airflow-exposed spot and replace batteries before they run out to maintain continuous data transmission.
