TP-Link Archer C80 Router wireless Gigabit Ethernet Dual-Band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) nero

Archer C80 is a dual-band Wi‑Fi router with 3×3 MIMO and 802.11ac Wave2 support, offering combined wireless speeds up to 1900 Mbps. It features four external high‑performance antennas, MU‑MIMO, Smart Connect and Airtime Fairness for more efficient device handling, plus full gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN + 4 LAN). The router includes parental controls, a guest network and can be set up via a web interface or the Tether app.

Advantages

Archer C80 provides higher throughput for 3×3-capable devices and improved multi-device performance through MU‑MIMO. Beamforming and four external antennas broaden coverage across a typical home, while Smart Connect and Airtime Fairness optimize band allocation and prevent older devices from degrading overall network speed. Full gigabit wired ports ensure fast and stable connections for wired devices, and built‑in management tools allow configuration of parental controls and a separate guest network.

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11ac Wave2
• Maximum combined speed: up to 1900 Mbps (dual-band)
• Antennas: 4 external high-performance antennas
• MIMO: 3×3 MIMO
• Multi-user technology: MU‑MIMO
• Coverage enhancement: Beamforming
• Band management: Smart Connect and Airtime Fairness
• Ethernet ports: 1 WAN + 4 LAN (Gigabit)
• Management: Web interface and Tether app (Android/iOS)

How to use

Connect the WAN port to your modem and plug the router into power. Use the web interface or install the Tether app on an Android or iOS device to complete the guided setup: create an administrator password, configure SSIDs and passwords for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands or enable Smart Connect to let the router assign the best band automatically. Optionally set up parental controls and a guest network through the management menu. Position the router centrally and keep antennas upright to maximize coverage.

Recommendations

For best results, place Archer C80 in a central location away from large metal objects and other electronics that may cause interference. Enable Smart Connect for automatic band selection when multiple devices are used, and use wired Gigabit connections for devices that require consistently low latency such as gaming consoles or streaming devices.
