TP-Link Omada AX3000 router WLAN Gigabit Ethernet dual-band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) nero

The TP-Link Omada AX3000 Dual-band Gigabit Ethernet (model DR3650V) is a wireless router with integrated DSL support and Wi‑Fi 6 capabilities. It delivers combined dual‑band wireless throughput up to 2402 Mbit/s and provides multiple WAN options including VDSL2/ADSL, Ethernet WAN from cable or fiber modems, and 4G/3G USB modem backup. The router supports centralized cloud management via the Omada controller and includes modern security and VPN features suited for small business or advanced home network use.

Advantages

The router supports Super VDSL (VDSL2 profile 35b) for higher DSL speeds and is backward compatible with VDSL2/ADSL2+/ADSL2/ADSL. A Gigabit LAN/WAN port and a USB 3.0 port enable Ethernet and 4G/3G modem connectivity for primary or failover internet. Cloud-based Omada management simplifies centralized control across sites. Multiple VPN protocols (IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, GRE, SSL VPN) provide flexible, high‑security remote access and site‑to‑site connections. The device also offers MU‑MIMO, QoS and load balancing between DSL and Ethernet WAN for stable performance.

Suitable for

• Small offices requiring reliable DSL and Ethernet internet access
• Sites needing centralized cloud management for multiple network devices
• Businesses or homes requiring secure remote access and VPN connectivity
• Environments that need automatic failover using 4G/3G USB modems

How to use

Connect the DR3650V to your DSL line, Ethernet modem, or plug a supported 4G/3G USB modem into the USB 3.0 port. Power on the device and complete initial setup via the web-based management interface or the Omada cloud controller. Configure wireless SSIDs, security (WPA3 where available), and WAN settings. Set up VPN tunnels or site‑to‑site connections through the VPN configuration menus and enable load balancing or failover between WAN links as required.

Recommendations

For stable DSL performance, verify ISP compatibility with VDSL2 profile 35b where higher DSL throughput is needed. Keep router firmware updated via Omada cloud or the web interface and enable strong authentication (WPA3 or WPA2 with a secure passphrase) for wireless networks. Use the USB 3.0 modem as a backup connection and configure WAN failover to ensure continuous internet access.
