Manfrotto 142CS is a professional tripod designed to provide stable support for cameras and accessories at a maximum working height of 2100 mm. With a carrying weight of 3.6 kg and a silver finish, this tripod is built for studio and location work where increased height and rigidity are required. Its configuration prioritizes steadiness for photography, video recording and long-exposure applications while remaining straightforward to set up and adjust.

Advantages

The tripod combines a high maximum height with a robust load capacity to accommodate a wide range of camera setups. Its construction delivers consistent stability for long exposures and precise framing, while the silver finish offers a neutral appearance suitable for studio and outdoor use. Despite its sturdy build, the design focuses on user-friendly operation for quick deployment and reliable performance during extended shoots.

Suitable for

• Studio photography requiring elevated camera positions
• Outdoor and location shoots where extra height is needed
• Video recording with heavier camera rigs within the tripod's load capacity
• Long-exposure and low-light photography that demands rigidity

Key specifications

• Maximum working height: 2100 mm
• Carrying weight (maximum load capacity): 3.6 kg
• Material finish: silver

How to use

Set up the tripod on a stable surface and extend the legs to the required height, ensuring each leg lock is securely engaged. Mount the camera or compatible head according to manufacturer recommendations and confirm that the total system weight does not exceed the tripod's carrying capacity. Adjust leg spread and center column (if applicable) to achieve the desired framing and level the camera using any available built-in bubble or leveling indicators. For long-exposure work, check all locking points before starting the exposure sequence.

Recommendations

To maximize stability, use the tripod on firm ground and avoid fully extending all sections unless necessary; lower sections typically offer greater rigidity. When working outdoors, add controlled ballast to the center column or a dedicated hook if available to improve resistance to wind and accidental movement.
