Ubiquiti UniFi U7-Mesh WiFi 7 Tri-Band BE5000 access point outdoor 2.5G PoE+

The Ubiquiti UniFi U7-Mesh is a WiFi 7 (802.11be) tri-band outdoor mesh access point delivering up to 5 Gbps of aggregate wireless throughput. Designed for flexible deployment in homes, offices, and outdoor areas, it supports seamless integration into a UniFi network with zero-handoff roaming, WPA3 enterprise security, and PPSK per-device credentials. A single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port with 802.3at PoE+ powers and connects the unit — no additional power adapter required.

Advantages

WiFi 7 tri-band operation across 2.4 GHz (688 Mbps), 5 GHz (2882 Mbps), and 6 GHz (5764 Mbps) dramatically reduces congestion and latency compared to earlier standards. The U7-Mesh is weather-rated for outdoor installation (operating temperature -30 to 60 °C), making it equally at home on a rooftop, garden wall, or ceiling. Compact at 159.5 × 159.5 × 34 mm and weighing only 390 g, it includes a wall/ceiling mount bracket and is powered entirely over the Ethernet cable, keeping installations tidy and cable-runs minimal.

Suitable for

• Extending an existing UniFi network outdoors to gardens, patios, or parking areas
• High-density indoor deployments needing WiFi 7 tri-band capacity and MU-MIMO throughput
• Mesh network expansion where the 2.5G uplink maximises backhaul bandwidth

How to use

Connect the U7-Mesh to a PoE+ switch or injector via a standard Ethernet cable. Adopt the device into your UniFi Network Application — either the cloud portal or a self-hosted controller on a local machine or UniFi Console — and it will appear on the network map ready for configuration. Assign SSIDs, enable WPA3 or PPSK authentication, and adjust radio settings from the controller dashboard.

Recommendations

For best results, pair the U7-Mesh with a 2.5G-capable PoE+ switch such as the Ubiquiti UniFi USW-Pro-24 to unlock the full 2.5 Gbps uplink capacity; pairing with a standard gigabit switch will cap throughput at 1 Gbps and leave WiFi 7 6 GHz capacity under-served.
