Faulty network cables are a leading cause of connectivity issues, yet identifying a broken wire or miswired connector without the right tool is nearly impossible. The UGREEN Network and Telephone Cable Tester NW167 solves this by providing fast, accurate verification of RJ45 Ethernet and RJ11 telephone cables. Simply connect the cable to the main unit and remote, and the automatic scan immediately reveals open circuits, short circuits, cross-wires, and mis-wires via clear LED indicators. Whether you are installing new cabling, troubleshooting an existing network, or performing routine maintenance, this tester saves time and eliminates guesswork.

Tips

To test a cable, plug one end into the main unit and the other into the remote unit (or into the corresponding port on the main unit for short patch cables). Turn on the power and observe the LED sequence. A steady, sequential light pattern indicates a correctly wired cable. Any missing, extra, or out-of-sequence lights point to a specific fault. For installed cables, detach the remote unit and connect it at the far end. Always use a fresh 9V battery for reliable results, and store the tester in a dry place when not in use.
