Scheda di gestione rete (NMC) Unit U‑NMC‑CARD compatibile con sistemi UPS

Unit U‑NMC‑CARD is a Network Management Card (NMC) compatible with UPS systems that enables remote monitoring and control over network connections. The card provides access to UPS status information, event logs and alerts via standard network interfaces, allowing administrators to track power conditions, receive notifications and perform orderly shutdowns or restarts. Designed for integration with existing UPS infrastructure, it supports centralized monitoring without physical presence at the device.

Advantages

The Network Management Card offers continuous network access to UPS telemetry and event history, simplifying fault detection and diagnostics. It centralizes alert distribution so administrators receive timely notifications about power anomalies. Remote control functions allow safe, automated shutdowns and restarts to protect equipment and data integrity. The card is compatible with industry-standard network protocols for broad interoperability and can be deployed in server rooms, data closets and distributed sites.

Suitable for

• Remote monitoring of UPS units in server rooms and data centers
• Automatic scheduled or event-driven shutdowns for connected systems
• Centralized alerting and event logging for IT infrastructure
• Integration with network management systems and monitoring tools

Key specifications

• Function: network-based monitoring, event logging, alerts and remote control of UPS systems
• Interfaces: standard Ethernet network connectivity for remote access
• Supported features: status monitoring, event log retrieval, alert notifications, controlled shutdown/restart
• Compatibility: designed for integration with compatible UPS models and standard network management systems
• Deployment environment: intended for indoor use in server rooms, network cabinets and infrastructure facilities

How to use

Install the Network Management Card into the compatible UPS according to the manufacturer's mechanical and electrical installation instructions. Connect the card to the local network using an Ethernet cable and configure network settings (IP address, gateway, DNS) via the device interface or a setup utility. Register or integrate the card with your network monitoring system or management software, set up alert recipients and event thresholds, and verify communication and notification functions. Use the card interface to view real-time UPS status, access event logs and initiate controlled shutdowns or restarts when required.

Recommendations

Place the UPS and Network Management Card on a protected network segment or VLAN for monitoring traffic isolation. Ensure firmware is kept up to date and restrict administrative access with strong credentials and role-based permissions. Configure alert thresholds and notification channels (email, SNMP traps, syslog) to match operational priorities, and test shutdown and recovery procedures periodically to confirm reliability.
