Unità interfaccia di rete Ricoh Type M47 (IEEE 802.11) per dispositivi Ricoh compatibili, modello 418754

Ricoh Type M47 (model 418754) is an IEEE 802.11 wireless network interface unit designed to add Wi‑Fi connectivity to compatible Ricoh printers and multifunction devices. The module enables devices to join standard 802.11 Wi‑Fi networks to support printing and scanning tasks without a wired Ethernet connection. It is intended for office environments that require more flexible device placement and simplified network integration for desktop and mobile users.

Advantages

The Type M47 module provides wireless network access using IEEE 802.11 standards, allowing networked printing and scanning from multiple client devices. It reduces the need for Ethernet cabling and supports easier installation in locations where wiring is impractical. The unit is compact and designed for direct integration with compatible Ricoh hardware, preserving device functionality while extending network options.

How to use

Install the Type M47 module into the designated expansion slot or interface bay of a compatible Ricoh device following the device's service manual. After physical installation, configure wireless network settings from the device control panel or the device's web administration interface: select the appropriate SSID, enter security credentials (WPA/WPA2 as supported by the device), and verify network connectivity. Confirm that printing and scanning functions operate over the wireless connection by sending a test print and initiating a network scan.

Recommendations

Place the host device within reliable Wi‑Fi signal range and avoid sources of radio interference. Ensure firmware on the Ricoh device is up to date and that network security settings match organizational requirements. For secure deployments, use WPA2 (or stronger) encryption and, where supported, integrate devices into managed wireless networks with proper access control.
