Verbatim 97693 Supporto DVD 8,5 GB DVD+R DL 50 pz.

The Verbatim 97693 DVD+R DL is a double-layer recordable DVD with a native capacity of 8.5 GB on a single side (120 mm diameter). Supplied in a pack of 50 discs, this media is compatible with drives and burners that support DVD+R DL format and is suitable for storing large files, video projects and backups. The disc uses dual-layer technology that places a second recording layer separated by a substrate, allowing the laser to refocus and write on both layers to reach the extended capacity. A related single-layer DVD+R offers 4.7 GB capacity for standard recording needs.

Advantages

Double-layer DVD+R DL media provides expanded storage on a single side without increasing the disc diameter, enabling storage of larger files or longer video content compared with single-layer DVD+R. Verbatim discs are manufactured to industry specifications (+RW Alliance / DVD Forum compatibility) and are suitable for data archiving, video mastering and general-purpose backups. The 50-pack format offers multiple discs for systematic storage and frequent recording tasks.

Suitable for

• Backing up large datasets and archives
• Storing full-length video projects and DVDs
• Creating software or data distribution discs
• Long-term media archiving where optical format is preferred

Key specifications

• Brand: VERBATIM
• Model / MPN: 97693
• Type: DVD+R DL (double layer)
• Capacity: 8.5 GB (single side, 120 mm)
• Pack size: 50 discs

How to use

Insert the Verbatim DVD+R DL disc into a compatible DVD burner that supports DVD+R DL recording. Use your disc-burning software to select appropriate write settings; allow the burner to finalize the disc if required by your application. When recording dual layers, the drive will write the first layer, then refocus the laser to continue writing on the second layer to achieve the full 8.5 GB capacity. After burning, verify the data or play back the video to confirm successful recording.

Recommendations

Store discs vertically in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Handle discs by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the recording surface. For best compatibility, use drives and playback devices that explicitly list support for DVD+R DL media and choose recommended burn speeds in your software to reduce risk of write errors.
