VIPLAST KOALA Presa singola da parete con contatto di protezione e coperchio a ribalta, nero, IP44, 16A, 250V, 2P+E

Electrical socket outlet for surface mounting, engineered to deliver reliable power in damp and dust-prone environments. The VIPLAST KOALA 161-05 combines a single Schuko-compatible socket with a hinged protective flap, achieving an IP44 rating that shields the contacts from splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. Its black thermoplastic housing resists impact and weathering, making it a robust choice for both indoor utility areas and sheltered outdoor locations.

Advantages

The integrated flap automatically closes when the socket is not in use, preventing moisture and debris from reaching the live terminals. Screw terminals ensure a secure, low-resistance connection for solid or stranded conductors up to 2.5 mm². The surface-mounted design allows quick installation on walls, panels, or junction boxes without recessed wall preparation. Rated at 16 A / 250 V AC, it safely handles high-power appliances such as power tools, pumps, or heating equipment. The KOALA series is built from flame-retardant thermoplastic, offering long-term durability and compliance with CE safety standards.

• Garages, workshops, and basements where splash protection is required
• Covered terraces, balconies, and garden sheds (IP44 zones)
• Laundry rooms, utility rooms, and other damp indoor areas

Recommendations

For installations in semi-outdoor or splash-prone areas, pair this socket with a matching IP44-rated plug and use a residual current device (RCD) upstream. Ensure the flap is fully closed when not in use to maintain the IP rating. When wiring, strip conductors to the correct length and tighten screws to the recommended torque to avoid overheating.
