Vite cimco 191217 40 mm, acciaio inox zincato, per pannelli in fibra, Ø 4 mm, 1 pezzo

The cimco screw 191217 is a single galvanized steel fastener designed for fixing fibreboard and similar composite panels. With a nominal length of 40 mm and a thread diameter of 4 mm, this screw provides secure engagement in engineered wood products. The zinc-coated surface offers basic corrosion protection suitable for indoor applications and environments where occasional moisture exposure is expected. Supplied as one piece per pack, the screw is intended for tasks such as furniture assembly, repairs, and light joinery work involving fibreboard and related materials.

Advantages

The galvanized steel construction increases resistance to rust compared with untreated steel, extending service life in normal indoor conditions. The 4 mm thread diameter balances pull-out strength and ease of driving into composite boards. A 40 mm length is long enough to create a reliable connection through typical board thicknesses without excessive protrusion. Supplied individually, the screw allows users to buy the exact quantity needed for small repairs or one-off projects.

How to use

For reliable results, pre-drill a pilot hole in the fibreboard with a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw's core diameter to reduce splitting and ensure accurate alignment. Position the screw and drive it with a suitable screwdriver or low-speed drill driver, applying steady pressure and avoiding over-torquing which can strip the composite material. If attaching to thin panels, use washers or backing supports as needed to distribute load and prevent pull-through. After installation, check that the head is flush or slightly countersunk depending on the aesthetic or functional requirement.

Recommendations

Use indoors or in covered locations to maintain the protective galvanized layer; for prolonged outdoor exposure or direct contact with untreated timber, consider fasteners with higher corrosion resistance. Match pilot hole size to the board density and the screw core diameter for optimal holding power.
