EK-Quantum Vector Xtreme 3080/3090 D-RGB - Nickel + Acetal is a full-coverage water block compatible with Aorus Xtreme and Master variants of NVIDIA RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. It actively cools the GPU core, front-facing VRAM, VRM power stages and chokes, and uses nickel-plated high-grade copper for the base and black POM acetal for the top. The block includes pre-installed brass standoffs, EPDM O-ring sealing, and addressable D-RGB illumination housed in an aesthetic corner end-piece.

How to use

Shut down and disconnect the PC from power, remove the compatible graphics card from the system and detach the factory cooler following the card manufacturer’s service instructions. Install the included brass standoffs onto the PCB as supplied by the mounting mechanism, apply the provided thermal pads and the supplied EK-TIM Ectotherm thermal grease to the GPU die where indicated, then mate the water block to the card and secure it with the supplied screws, nuts and washers. Connect the 3-pin D-RGB header to the motherboard, aligning the arrow with the +5V marking. Pressure-test the loop and check for leaks before powering the full system.

Recommendations

Use the EK-Quantum Vector Xtreme block with a recommended retention backplate for improved mechanical support and additional passive cooling, especially for RTX 3090 models. Ensure compatible G1/4" fittings and proper loop maintenance; verify RGB header polarity before connecting.
