Cavo SAS Western Digital 1EX1531 Mini SAS HD SFF-8643, lunghezza 2 m

SAS cable Western Digital 1EX1531 Mini SAS HD SFF-8643, 2 m length provides a shielded, direct connection between SAS-compatible storage devices and host controllers. This 2-meter Mini SAS HD cable uses the SFF-8643 connector standard to carry high-speed serial attached SCSI signals for internal server, NAS, and rack-mounted storage systems. It is intended for point-to-point links in enterprise and data center environments where reliable, low-interference data transmission is required.

Advantages

The cable offers a compact Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 connector designed for high-density environments, combined with full shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. Its 2 m length balances reach and routing simplicity for internal cabling in server racks. Using a standard SAS interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of SAS host adapters, RAID controllers and drive enclosures that accept Mini SAS HD connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting SAS drives or drive enclosures to SAS host adapters or RAID controllers in servers
• Internal cabling for NAS units and storage arrays in data centers
• Replacing or extending existing Mini SAS HD connections in rack-mounted systems

Key specifications

• Connector type: Mini SAS HD SFF-8643
• Cable length: 2 m
• Signal type: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) high-speed differential lanes
• Shielding: Full shielded construction for EMI reduction
• Usage: Internal server and storage system cabling

How to use

Power down equipment or follow hot-swap and manufacturer procedures before connecting or disconnecting SAS cables. Insert the Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 connector into the matching port on the host adapter or enclosure, ensuring correct orientation and a secure fit. Route the 2 m cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and proximity to unshielded power cables. After connection, verify link status in the host system firmware or operating system storage management utility to confirm the devices are detected and operating at expected link speeds.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this shielded Mini SAS HD cable for internal connections within server racks and storage enclosures, keep cable runs as short as practical, and follow vendor guidelines for grounding and cable management to preserve signal integrity and thermal airflow.
