Workstation Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2 con Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, 64 GB DDR5, 512 GB SSD, Windows 11 Pro

The Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF Gen 2 is a compact workstation built for demanding professional tasks. It is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with up to 24 cores (8 performance + 16 efficiency) and Turbo frequencies up to 5.7 GHz, and comes with 64 GB DDR5-5600 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The system includes integrated Intel graphics, Windows 11 Pro, and a 330 W power supply in a small-form-factor chassis weighing approximately 3.6 kg.

Advantages

This workstation combines high-core-count CPU performance, fast DDR5 memory, and PCIe 5.0 SSD storage in a compact SFF design, offering strong single-thread and multi-thread processing for professional applications. The preinstalled Windows 11 Pro and integrated Intel graphics provide out-of-the-box compatibility with common business and creative software while keeping power and space requirements modest.

Suitable for

• 3D modelling and CAD workflows with moderate GPU demands using CPU-based rendering or lightweight GPU tasks
• Software development, compiling and virtualisation with multi-threaded workloads
• Data analysis, spreadsheets and business applications that benefit from high memory bandwidth
• Content creation tasks such as photo editing and video editing at moderate resolutions

When it may not be suitable

This SFF workstation uses integrated Intel graphics and does not include a discrete GPU, so it may not meet the needs of users requiring high-end GPU performance for ray tracing, complex real-time 3D rendering, or high-resolution GPU-accelerated workflows. Also, the 512 GB internal SSD may be limiting for large local media projects unless supplemented with external or additional internal storage.

Key specifications

• Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, 24 cores (8P + 16E) / 24 threads, up to 5.7 GHz boost
• Memory: 64 GB DDR5-5600 (2 × 32 GB SODIMM, non-ECC)
• Storage: 512 GB M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe SSD
• Graphics: Integrated Intel graphics
• Operating system: Windows 11 Pro
• Power supply: 330 W
• Network: Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps)
• Form factor and weight: Small Form Factor, approx. 3.6 kg

How to use

Set the workstation on a stable surface with adequate ventilation. Connect display(s) and peripherals, attach network and power cables, then power on and follow the Windows 11 Pro setup prompts. For heavier workloads, monitor temperatures and ensure vents are unobstructed. To expand storage or add a discrete GPU (if supported by chassis and power), consult Lenovo documentation for compatible components and installation procedures.

What to consider before purchase

• Integrated graphics only — add a discrete GPU if your workflows require strong GPU acceleration
• 512 GB internal SSD capacity — plan for additional storage if you work with large media files
• Small Form Factor chassis — check expansion and cooling limitations compared with tower workstations

Recommendations

For best results in multi-threaded tasks and development workflows, keep the system updated with the latest Windows and driver updates, use fast external or internal storage when handling large datasets or media, and consider a compatible discrete GPU and additional storage if your projects demand higher graphical or capacity requirements.
