Access Point UBIQUITI Unifi 6 In-Wall U6-IW — Dualband 2,4/5 GHz, 4800 Mbit/s, 5x RJ-45, PoE, bianco

The Ubiquiti UniFi 6 In-Wall is a dual-band access point designed for in-wall installation, providing Wi‑Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a combined maximum throughput of up to 4.8 Gbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 573.5 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. The unit supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified deployment and includes Bluetooth and MU‑MIMO antenna technology. Its compact white housing and operating temperature range from -30 °C to 60 °C make it suitable for a variety of indoor environments.

Advantages

The device supports the latest Wi‑Fi standards including Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) and legacy standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), offers advanced security with WPA‑PSK and enterprise authentication (WPA/WPA2/WPA3), and includes QoS capabilities for traffic prioritization. PoE support reduces cabling needs and the integrated Bluetooth enables simple provisioning. MU‑MIMO antennas improve multi-client performance while certifications (CE, FCC, IC) ensure regulatory compliance.

Suitable for

• Small offices and meeting rooms requiring wired and wireless connectivity
• Multi-dwelling units or hotel rooms where in-wall installation is preferred
• Environments needing secure Wi‑Fi with enterprise authentication

How to use

Install the unit into a compatible in-wall box and connect it to a PoE-enabled switch or injector to provide both power and network connectivity. Use the UniFi controller or UniFi Network application to adopt and configure the access point, set SSIDs, security settings (WPA/WPA2/WPA3), and QoS policies. Position client devices to use either 2.4 GHz for wider coverage or 5 GHz for higher throughput, and enable Bluetooth provisioning if supported by your controller app.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect the access point to a Gigabit PoE switch, separate high-bandwidth devices onto the 5 GHz band, keep firmware updated, and secure the network with WPA3 where possible. Allow adequate ventilation in wall cavities and follow local installation codes.
