ACT 3 metri LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM2 cavo patch in fibra ottica duplex con connettori LC e ST

The ACT Fiber patch cable duplex 3 meter LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM2 provides a ready-to-use duplex link for local area networks and data centers. It combines LC and ST connectors on a 3 m length, supporting multimode OM2 fiber performance for short- to medium-distance high-speed data transmission. The jacket is made from Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material to reduce toxic fumes and corrosive gases in the event of fire, making the cable suitable for indoor and riser installations where safety standards are important.

Advantages

This duplex multimode cable supports full-duplex communication and offers consistent insertion loss and return loss characteristics typical for OM2 grade fiber, enabling dependable signal integrity for equipment transceivers. The combination of LC and ST connector types allows flexible interconnection between different devices and patch panels without additional adapter units. The LSZH outer jacket improves occupant safety in enclosed spaces and meets requirements for buildings with strict fire-safety policies.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode 50/125 µm (OM2)
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector set: LC to ST duplex
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Mode: Duplex for simultaneous transmit and receive
• Typical applications: Data center patching, intra-building backbone, equipment interconnect

How to use

Route the cable along the planned patch path and secure it with appropriate cable management hardware to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the ST connector into the corresponding ST port on the devices or patch panel; ensure connectors are clean before mating to maintain optical performance. Use gentle alignment and avoid twisting the duplex pair; keep bend radius above the minimum recommended for multimode fiber during installation and operation.

Recommendations

Before installation, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces with approved fiber cleaning tools. Avoid pulling the cable by the connectors and maintain a bend radius of at least 10 times the cable diameter. For permanent installations, record port connections and test the link with appropriate optical test equipment to verify loss and continuity according to OM2 specifications.
