ACT cavo patch in fibra ottica duplex LSZH multimodale 50/125 OM3 con connettori SC da 0,5 metri

The ACT OM3 Fiber Patch Cable 0.5m Duplex with SC connectors is a multimode fiber cable designed for indoor networking environments. With a 50/125 µm core/cladding geometry and OM3 specification, this 0.5 metre duplex assembly supports high-speed full-duplex data transmission. The cable jacket is manufactured from Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material, reducing toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire and making it suitable for use in enclosed or public spaces.

Advantages

This OM3 fiber patch cable delivers consistent multimode performance for short-range high-bandwidth links. The duplex SC connectors provide reliable mating and simple insertion/removal in standard SC ports. The short 0.5 m length minimizes excess cabling and signal attenuation in rack- and cabinet-to-equipment connections. The LSZH jacket enhances safety in indoor deployments where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between network equipment in racks and cabinets
• Data center short-range multimode links
• Telecommunications rooms and equipment patch panels
• Office and campus indoor fiber runs where LSZH is required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Length: 0.5 metre (duplex)
• Connector type: SC duplex connectors
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before installation and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Route the 0.5 m patch cable between the two SC ports to be connected, ensuring gentle bends that do not exceed the fiber’s minimum bend radius. Insert the SC connectors into the equipment or patch panel SC adapters until they click or seat securely. For duplex connections, maintain correct polarity by aligning transmit to receive ports on both ends.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 SC duplex patch cable for short interconnections inside racks, cabinets and patch panels. Store and deploy the cable without tight bends, avoid excessive pulling force on connectors, and choose LSZH cabling where building codes or safety policies require reduced smoke and halogen-free materials.
