ACT giallo 0,25 metri LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch Slimline per data center snagless con connettori RJ45

ACT Yellow 0.25m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A patch cable is a slimline data center Ethernet cable with a 0.25 m length designed for short connections between devices. The cable uses U/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and has gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable conductivity. With a reduced diameter compared to standard CAT6A patch cords, it improves cabinet airflow and facilitates cable management in confined spaces.

Advantages

The slimline 3.8 mm diameter of this CAT6A U/FTP cable reduces bending radius and allows denser routing in racks while improving airflow compared with regular 5.9 mm CAT6A cords. U/FTP shielding helps suppress crosstalk and external interference. The LSZH jacket reduces hazardous smoke emission in case of fire. Short 0.25 m length is suitable for direct device-to-device connections in data centers or patch panels.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between servers, switches and patch panels
• Dense cable routing in data center cabinets where space and airflow matter
• PoE deployments with limited bundle sizes (see specifications)

Key specifications

• Standard: CAT6A
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Conductor size: 32 AWG (slimline construction) — higher attenuation than 24 AWG
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the device or patch panel port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use this 0.25 m patch cable for short links inside racks or between adjacent devices. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable's minimum bending radius to maintain performance; route the cable following existing rack cable management paths.

Recommendations

For PoE applications, ACT advises limiting bundle size to a maximum of 24 cables to prevent excessive temperature rise. Because the slimline cable uses 32 AWG conductors, it exhibits higher attenuation at higher frequencies than standard 24 AWG cords; ACT therefore recommends using shorter permanent link lengths when planning links that include these patch cords to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC and TIA performance requirements.
