The ACT U/UTP CAT5E Patch Cable in black, 15 m (model IB5915), is a screened category 5e patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections. It features full copper AWG#24 conductors and gold-plated RJ-45 contacts to ensure stable signal transmission and compatibility with standard network equipment. The cable is PVC-sheathed and tested for performance to support up to 100 MHz bandwidth, suitable for typical home and office networking needs.

Advantages

This ACT CAT5E patch cable is 100% tested and carries a 5 year warranty. ACT specifications have been verified by an independent third-party certification institute. The cable uses full copper AWG#24 conductors and 50 µ gold-plated RJ-45 contacts to provide consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PVC sheath and robust connector construction make it appropriate for regular installation and device connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and other Ethernet devices
• Home and small office networking
• Patch panels and structured cabling runs within 15 m

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (PC, switch, router) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the other device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heavy compression or heat sources that could damage the PVC sheath. For best results, keep the cable length within the specified 15 m run for optimal signal quality.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines and replace if connectors or the sheath show visible damage. Use within standard structured cabling setups and verify network speeds and link status after installation.
