ACT Orange 1,5 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter con connettori RJ45 senza linguetta

The ACT Orange 1.5m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 (MPN DC7151, EAN 8716065509830) is a slimline data center patch cord with U/FTP shielding, snagless RJ45 connectors and gold‑plated contacts. With a 1.5 m length and reduced outer diameter, the cable is intended for high‑speed Ethernet connections in racks and network cabinets where space and airflow are important considerations.

Advantages

This slimline CAT6A cable has a smaller diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) compared with standard CAT6A patch cords, which lowers the bending radius and improves airflow within server racks and cabinets. The U/FTP construction reduces electromagnetic interference for more reliable transmission. Snagless RJ45 boots protect the connector latch during installation and gold‑plated contacts support consistent signal integrity.

Suitable for

• Data center and server rack patching where cable density is high
• High‑speed Ethernet links up to CAT6A performance
• Environments requiring LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) materials
• Installations where improved airflow and compact cabling are desired

Key specifications

• Standard: CAT6A U/FTP
• Length: 1.5 m
• Outer diameter: approx. 3.8 mm (slimline)
• Conductor gauge: slim 32 AWG construction (note: higher attenuation vs 22–26 AWG at high frequencies)
• Connector: Snagless RJ45 with gold‑plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Brand / MPN / EAN: ACT / DC7151 / 8716065509830

How to use

Connect the snagless RJ45 plugs into corresponding RJ45 ports on switches, patch panels or network devices. Route the slimline cable through cable management channels or rack spaces, taking advantage of the smaller diameter to reduce congestion and improve airflow. Avoid sharp bends; follow normal bend radius practice for slim cables and secure the cable without excessive compressive force on connectors.

Recommendations

For PoE deployments, limit bundled runs to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to prevent excessive temperature rise; this follows ACT guidance and aligns with ANSI TSB‑184‑A limits that keep the center cable temperature rise below 15 °C above ambient. Be aware that the 32 AWG construction increases attenuation compared with 22–26 AWG patch cords, especially at higher frequencies, so verify link length and performance for high‑frequency-sensitive applications.
