ACT Orange 1 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter con protezione linguetta e connettori RJ45

The ACT Orange 1 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors is a slim-diameter Ethernet cable designed for datacenter and network cabinet use. With a reduced outer diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) compared to regular CAT6A cables, it improves airflow in server racks and is suitable for high-speed data transfer. The cable uses U/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ45 contacts and is made from LSZH material to limit smoke emission in sensitive environments.

Advantages

The slimline construction reduces bundle thickness and lowers the bending radius compared with standard CAT6A patch cords, helping to optimize space and airflow in crowded racks. Snagless RJ45 boots protect the latch during installation and gold-plated contacts ensure reliable connectivity. LSZH jacket material minimizes toxic smoke in case of fire. The cable conforms to CAT6A performance while offering a smaller form factor for dense deployments.

Suitable for

• Datacenter patching and short-length interconnects
• Network cabinets and server rack installations where space and airflow are critical
• Environments requiring low-smoke LSZH materials

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6A U/FTP
• Length: 1 meter
• Outer diameter: approx. 3.8 mm (slimline)
• Conductor gauge reference: smaller AWG cables (down to 32 AWG) may be used; note higher attenuation at high frequencies
• Connectors: snagless RJ45 with gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH
• Brand / MPN / EAN: ACT / DC7101 / 8716065509779

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network device or switch port and the other end to the corresponding patch panel, server or network outlet. Route the slimline cable through rack pathways or cable management channels, taking advantage of the reduced diameter to maintain airflow. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable with appropriate ties or organizers to prevent stress near the connectors.

Recommendations

For PoE installations, ACT advises limiting bundled quantities to a maximum of 24 cables to avoid excessive temperature rise; this helps keep the temperature increase for the center cable under the ANSI TSB-184-A guideline of 15 °C above ambient. Be aware that very thin conductor variants (e.g., 32 AWG) exhibit higher attenuation, particularly at higher frequencies, so use appropriate channel design and length considerations for high-speed or long-reach links.
