ACT Orange 10 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter senza linguetta con connettori RJ45

The ACT Orange 10 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors is designed for high-speed data transfer in datacenters and network cabinets. Its slimline construction (approximately 3.8 mm diameter) reduces cable bulk and improves airflow in racks compared with regular CAT6A patch cords. The U/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ45 contacts provide improved protection against interference and reliable connections for critical network applications.

Advantages

The slim 3.8 mm diameter lowers bend radius and saves space in cable bundles and dense rack environments while maintaining CAT6A performance characteristics. U/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference. Snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts ensure secure mating and corrosion resistance. LSZH jacket minimizes hazardous smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire, suitable for use in datacenters and enclosed spaces.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections in datacenters and network cabinets
• Environments with limited cable space or high cable density
• Critical network links requiring reduced interference (U/FTP)
• Installations where low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) materials are preferred

How to use

Route the slimline CAT6A U/FTP patch cable between network devices such as switches, servers and patch panels. Insert RJ45 connectors firmly into the corresponding ports until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends tighter than the cable bend radius and do not strain the connectors. When bundling multiple cables, follow recommended practices to keep bundles organized and avoid overstressing individual cables.

Recommendations

The manufacturer notes that although standards typically specify 22–26 AWG for patch cords, slimline designs can use thinner conductor gauges (e.g. 32 AWG), which increases attenuation at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) use, ACT advises a maximum bundle size of 24 cables to limit temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A recommends the center cable temperature increase remain under 15 °C above ambient.
