Adattatore ShiverPeaks 98805 — connettore maschio audio/video BNC per trasmissione del segnale

ShiverPeaks 98805 is an adapter featuring BNC connectors designed for audio and video signal transmission. It provides a compact interface to join coaxial cables and equipment with BNC terminations, supporting standard analog video and audio lines used in CCTV, surveillance and AV installations. The adapter is intended to maintain a stable connection and straightforward mechanical coupling between BNC-terminated leads.

Advantages

The adapter offers a compact, single-piece solution for linking two BNC-terminated coaxial cables without the need for additional tools. Its bayonet-style BNC coupling ensures quick, repeatable mating and reliable mechanical contact that minimizes signal interruptions. The simple construction reduces insertion loss and preserves the characteristic impedance of the coaxial connection, making it suitable for short-to-medium runs in analog AV and monitoring systems.

Suitable for

• CCTV and video surveillance camera connections
• Analog video distribution and monitoring
• Audio lines using BNC-terminated coax
• Temporary or permanent patching in AV installations
• Repairing or extending BNC-terminated cable runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: BNC male to BNC male interface
• Intended signals: analog video and audio over coaxial cable
• Compatibility: standard 50/75 ohm BNC-terminated coax systems (check system impedance)
• Mechanical coupling: bayonet lock for secure mating
• Form factor: compact inline adapter for cable-to-cable joining

How to use

Align the BNC bayonet lugs on the adapter with the mating BNC connector on the cable or device, push together and rotate the outer sleeve until it locks to establish a secure connection. Use the adapter to join two BNC-terminated coaxial cables or to connect a BNC-terminated lead to equipment. For reliable signal quality, ensure connectors and cable ends are clean and free of debris before mating and avoid excessive bending near the connection point.

Recommendations

Use the adapter within the appropriate impedance environment (50 or 75 ohm) to avoid reflections and signal loss. Prefer short, direct connections for sensitive analog video signals and periodically inspect connectors for corrosion or wear in outdoor or high-humidity installations.
