Amplificatore d'antenna Omnitronic AAB-10 — preamplificatore d'antenna attivo a batteria

The Omnitronic AAB-10 is an active, battery-powered antenna amplifier designed to increase weak radio signals and improve reception quality. As a compact antenna preamplifier, it boosts signal strength before the receiver, reducing the effects of cable loss and environmental interference. Battery operation enables placement close to rooftop or mast-mounted antennas where mains power is unavailable, making it suitable for FM, VHF and UHF installations and similar antenna setups.

Advantages

The compact, weather-resistant housing allows installation near the antenna to minimize signal attenuation along the feedline. Battery power provides independent operation without the need for a nearby power outlet, while the active amplification stage raises low-level signals to a level better handled by the receiver. The unit is designed for straightforward integration into existing coaxial antenna lines and supports improved signal-to-noise ratio for clearer audio and more stable reception.

How to use

Mount the Omnitronic AAB-10 as close to the antenna as practical, securing it to the mast or antenna housing following local mounting practices. Connect the antenna feed to the amplifier input and run the amplifier output to the receiver using standard coaxial cable. Install fresh batteries according to the manufacturers instructions and verify polarity. After powering the unit, tune the receiver and adjust antenna orientation if needed to optimize reception. Periodically check battery status and replace batteries to maintain consistent amplification performance.

Recommendations

For best results, place the amplifier as close to the antenna element as possible and use high-quality coaxial cable between the amplifier and the receiver. Avoid installing the unit where it may be directly exposed to heavy water ingress; use appropriate weatherproofing measures for prolonged outdoor deployment. If interference persists, verify antenna orientation and receiver settings before replacing the amplifier.
