Asta di tiraggio Extralink Pilot 9 mm 100 m fibra ottica FRP gialla

The Extralink Cable pulling rod Pilot is a professional tool designed for efficient cable installation in conduits and pipes. Constructed from high-quality glass fibre FRP with a 9 mm diameter and a 100-meter length, this rod offers the necessary rigidity and flexibility for long-distance cable routing. The rod is encased in a yellow PE plastic coating, which provides excellent protection against abrasion and ensures smooth gliding through narrow or complex pathways. The entire system is mounted on a sturdy, powder-coated blue metal stand that facilitates easy unwinding and storage.

Advantages

The primary advantage of this cable pulling rod is its high elasticity combined with significant resistance to bending and tearing, which prevents damage during intensive use. The specialized PE coating reduces friction, allowing the rod to slide effortlessly through conduits. The integrated stand features a manual brake system to lock the drum, preventing unwanted unspooling, and includes a dedicated eyelet to guide the fibre accurately. The robust frame design ensures that the tool is easy to transport and store, making it a reliable solution for demanding installation environments.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This rod may not be suitable for extremely tight conduits with very sharp, small-radius bends where a thinner or more flexible fish tape might be required. Additionally, it is not intended for use in high-temperature environments that exceed the thermal limits of the PE coating or the glass fibre material.

How to use

To use the Extralink cable pulling rod, place the stand on a stable, flat surface and release the manual brake on the drum. Feed the end of the rod, which is equipped with a guide head, into the conduit or pipe. Push the rod through the path until it emerges at the destination point. Once the rod is in place, attach the cable to the guide head using a pulling grip or tape. Engage the manual brake to secure the drum, then pull the rod back through the conduit to draw the cable into position. After use, carefully wind the rod back onto the drum and lock the brake for storage.

What to consider before purchase

Usage recommendations: Always inspect the rod for cracks or damage before each use to ensure safety. Keep the rod clean and free of debris to maintain its gliding properties and prevent jamming within the conduit.
