ATEN CS82A switch KVM argento

The ATEN CS82A KVM switch enables control of two computers from a single console using PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors and VGA video output. Housed in a compact metal enclosure, the CS82A supports a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels and provides front- and rear-panel PS/2 ports for convenient connection. It offers simple switching via front-panel buttons or keyboard hotkeys and is designed for reliable multi-computer management with low power consumption and RoHS compliance.

Advantages

The CS82A combines a small, durable metal housing with straightforward operation, allowing quick switching between two systems without additional software. Front- and rear-panel PS/2 ports and both button and hotkey switching give flexible control options, while low typical power consumption (1.08 W) and support for VGA at up to 1920 x 1440 ensure efficient, compatible performance in mixed legacy environments.

Suitable for

• Small server rooms or network closets requiring control of two machines
• Workstations using PS/2 keyboard and mouse interfaces
• Legacy systems with VGA video output
• Environments where a compact, durable KVM is desired

Recommendations

Place the CS82A in a well-ventilated area and use quality VGA and PS/2 cables to reduce signal loss. Ensure connected systems are powered and BIOS settings support PS/2 peripherals. For optimal video quality, use cables that match the supported resolution and avoid long runs that can degrade the VGA signal.
