How to use

Connect the local unit to your computer’s USB port and run a Cat 5/5e/6 cable to the remote unit; alternatively use the supplied 50 m USB cable where applicable. Attach USB peripherals to the remote unit’s four USB 2.0 ports. Ensure the remote unit’s power supply is connected so that it can provide adequate power to connected devices. Check LED indicators to confirm link and activity status. No special drivers are typically required for standard USB devices.

Recommendations

For best results, use Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable in good condition, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage lines, and verify peripheral power requirements—high-current devices (some external hard drives or certain printers) may need local powered hubs or their own power supply.
