Space-saving with integrated numerical keypad
The UltraBoard 960 V2 combines a compact design with an integrated numerical keypad, making it highly space-efficient. The numerical keypad, positioned on the right side, offers calculator-style efficiency for number entry. Its compactness allows for closer mouse placement, reducing shoulder, neck, and back strain for an ergonomic and healthy working posture.
Ergonomic background
The distance between the keys ranges from 18 to 20 mm (ISO 9241). The alphabetical section must be clearly separated from the function keys (ISO 9241). The middle row of keys cannot be elevated more than 30 mm above the surface of the desk (DIN 2137). The keyboard must be tiltable and separate from the screen (Council Directive 90/270/EEC).Dark letters on a clear background are easier to read (ISO 9241) and contribute to increased productivity (Snyder, 1990). The satin matt surface in a light design with dark lettering ensures the best possible avoidance of reflections and improved legibility. The light colour avoids high contrasts in the field of view and prevents premature eye fatigue.
Improved readability
The bright design with white keys and dark lettering ensures easy visibility and reduces reflections. With a 4mm font size, the dark letters are easy to read, enhancing productivity. Adjustable folding feet allow users to set the keyboard at a comfortable angle, catering to both ten-finger and non ten-finger typists.
Key design for precision
The UltraBoard 960 V2 features a 19mm key center distance in line with DIN EN ISO norms. The concave shape of the keys matches the fingertips' contour, while the convex space bar aids orientation. These design elements help reduce typing errors and ensure efficient, precise typing.
Optimal layout
The UltraBoard 960 V2 includes a fully featured numerical keypad, essential for professionals dealing with numbers, such as accountants and bank employees. The compact layout provides ample desk space without compromising functionality.
Comfortable typing experience
The UltraBoard 960 V2 uses a scissor mechanism, providing a clear pressure point with minimal force required. This design balances actuation strength, speed, and reduces strain on fingers, hands, and arms. The scissor mechanism ensures a comfortable, quiet typing experience, minimizing noise for colleagues.
Versatile usage
The UltraBoard 960 V2 is suitable for fixed workstations, mobile work, and flex-work setups. Its compact size and lightweight design make it easy to carry in a laptop bag. The 145cm cable and Plug & Play functionality allow immediate use with a USB-C or USB-A connection, and it is compatible with Windows.
Additional USB Ports
The UltraBoard 960 V2 includes two USB-A ports for connecting extra devices, such as a wired mouse or headphones, enhancing its functionality.
Status LEDs
The LED display on the UltraBoard 960 V2 provides clear indicators for the keyboard's connection status, as well as the activation of NumLock and CapsLock.
Integrated multimedia keys
The UltraBoard 960 V2 features five hotkeys and integrated multimedia keys, enabling easy control of music and video playback. These hotkeys facilitate faster work and reduce reliance on the mouse.
