BlueOptics 10G-SFP-AOC-0701-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 7 m SFP+ aqua

The BlueOptics 10G-SFP-AOC-0701-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m SFP+ Aqua is a factory-terminated active optical cable designed for short-range, high-bandwidth connections. With SFP+ form-factor connectors and a 7-metre cable length, it provides a low-latency link for networking equipment in racks, switches and compute clusters. The aqua jacket and SFP+ interface identify the cable as suitable for 10 Gigabit-class InfiniBand and compatible data transfer environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers noise-free, electrically isolated connections and reduced power dissipation compared with copper alternatives. The SFP+ male-to-male terminations allow plug-and-play installation into SFP+ ports without additional transceivers, while the 7 m length supports flexible rack-to-rack routing. The optical design ensures stable 10 Gbps throughput with inherent immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for dense data centre installations and server-to-switch links.

Suitable for

• Short-range rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch 10 Gbps links
• High-density networking environments and compute clusters
• InfiniBand-capable storage and high-throughput applications

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male-to-male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Supported data rate: 10 Gbps class
• Length: 7 metres
• Jacket colour: aqua
• Optimised for InfiniBand and equivalent high-speed protocols

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until the retention latch engages. Ensure both ends are seated correctly and that connected equipment is powered and configured for 10 Gbps operation or the appropriate InfiniBand link settings. No external transceivers or additional cabling are required; the active optical cable handles optical-electrical conversion internally. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Route the cable along rack channels or cable managers to prevent strain and maintain airflow. Keep the cable away from high-temperature sources and test link status after installation to verify signal integrity and expected throughput.
