Cavo ottico attivo AOC SFP+ CBO CBL-SFP+AOC-50M lunghezza 50 m

The AOC CBO CBL-SFP+AOC-50M is a 50 m Active Optical Cable in SFP+ form factor designed for 10GbE interconnects between switches, servers and storage systems. This fiber-based AOC delivers a lightweight optical link that reduces electromagnetic interference and maintains low latency over longer reaches compared with copper DACs. The cable is suitable for rack-to-rack and row-level connectivity within data center and enterprise network environments where reliable short-to-mid range 10 Gbit/s links are required.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers reduced signal attenuation and immunity to electromagnetic interference, helping to preserve signal integrity in dense cabling environments. Its SFP+ connectors ensure compatibility with standard 10GbE ports, while the optical media reduces cable weight and heat generation versus equivalent copper alternatives. The cable supports stable low-latency transmission over the full 50 m length and simplifies cable management in server rooms and network racks.

Suitable for

• 10GbE uplinks between switches in data centers
• Interconnects between servers and storage arrays
• Rack-to-rack or row-level optical links in enterprise networks
• Environments requiring EMI immunity and low-latency links

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ active optical cable
• Rated data rate: 10 Gbit/s
• Length: 50 meters
• Media: optical fiber (active cable with integrated transceivers)
• Latency: low-latency design suitable for latency-sensitive traffic
• Connector interface: SFP+ plug-and-play compatibility
• EMI performance: immune to electromagnetic interference compared with copper

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting the SFP+ connectors into compatible SFP+ ports on your network devices until each module seats securely. Ensure devices are powered and configured for 10GbE operation. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patch cords are required because the cable integrates optical transceivers. Verify link status LEDs on connected equipment and confirm network settings such as speed and flow control. For best results, avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius along the cable length.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-to-mid range 10GbE links inside racks or between adjacent rows. Route the cable along cable trays or management guides to prevent stress and maintain bend radius. Confirm compatibility with device firmware and SFP+ port vendors when mixing brands, and check link negotiation settings after installation.
