Cavo ottico attivo InfiniBand CBO QSFP-AOC-10M-CH-BO — QSFP su QSFP, 10 m

CBO QSFP-AOC-10M-CH-BO is a 10 m active optical cable (AOC) engineered for direct QSFP-to-QSFP connections in InfiniBand and QSFP-enabled systems. The cable integrates optical transceivers within the assembly, removing the need for separate SFP/QSFP modules and delivering a compact, low-power link suitable for high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnects between switches, servers and adapter cards in data centre and HPC environments.

Advantages

The integrated active optical design offers reduced latency and consistent signal integrity over the full 10 m length while keeping system footprint and power consumption low. With QSFP connectors on both ends, installation is plug-and-play and eliminates module compatibility issues. The cable is designed for high-density rack deployments and stable short-reach optical links, reducing link loss compared with direct-attach copper at longer short-reach distances.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between InfiniBand or QSFP-enabled switches
• Connections from servers to top-of-rack switches in data centres
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters and storage networks
• Short-reach optical links in high-density rack environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Length: 10 m
• Type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Supported interface: InfiniBand and QSFP-compatible systems
• Typical characteristics: low latency, high bandwidth, integrated optical transceivers

How to use

Insert each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on the devices to be linked, ensuring that modules are aligned and fully seated. The integrated AOC requires no separate transceivers or external power beyond the host ports. After connection, verify link status through device management interfaces and monitor for expected throughput and error-free operation. For secure handling, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling on the cable to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Install in clean rack environments and maintain bend radii recommended by the manufacturer to ensure optimal signal quality. Use for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects where a compact, low-power optical solution is preferred over discrete transceivers and patch cables.
