Cavo ottico attivo InfiniBand CBO QSFP-AOC-30M-NG-BO 30 m QSFP+ a QSFP+

BlueOptics InfiniBand Active Optical Cable QSFP-AOC-30M-NG-BO is a 30 m QSFP+ to QSFP+ cable engineered for high-speed server-to-switch and switch-to-switch interconnects in data centres and HPC clusters. The cable delivers an electrically transparent optical link for InfiniBand systems, providing low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference while supporting reliable long-reach connections between QSFP+ ports.

Advantages

The active optical construction reduces signal attenuation over long distances compared with copper alternatives and maintains InfiniBand protocol transparency. QSFP+ connectors at both ends offer plug-and-play compatibility with QSFP+ ports, while the 30 m length enables flexible rack and aisle layouts. Optical transmission lowers susceptibility to external EMI and provides a physically lighter, more manageable alternative to bulky copper cables.

Suitable for

• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency interconnects
• Data centre top-of-rack and leaf-spine switch connections
• Server uplinks and multi-switch backbones over medium distances

Key specifications

• Interface: QSFP+ to QSFP+
• Length: 30 metres
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Protocol compatibility: InfiniBand (electrically transparent)
• Latency: Low (optical link)
• Electromagnetic immunity: High (optical transmission)

How to use

Install by inserting each QSFP+ connector into the corresponding QSFP+ port on servers, switches or host adapters until the connector latches. Ensure ports are powered and configured for InfiniBand operation according to your equipment vendor instructions; no separate power source is required for the cable. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment manufacturer to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility of QSFP+ ports and InfiniBand link settings before deployment, and perform link validation after installation. Use appropriate cable management to prevent kinks and protect transceiver ends when not connected. For optimal performance in dense installations, maintain proper airflow and avoid running the cable near high-power electrical equipment despite its optical immunity to EMI.
