Cavo ottico attivo InfiniBand CBO QSFP-AOC-30M-QN-BO 30 m, QSFP su QSFP, multimodale

InfiniBand active optical cable CBO QSFP-AOC-30M-QN-BO is a 30-meter multimode QSFP-to-QSFP AOC designed for high-speed data links in data centers. The BlueOptics cable connects QSFP ports on switches, servers and storage systems to enable low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnects. As an active optical solution, it provides electromagnetic immunity and reduced weight compared with equivalent copper assemblies, making it suitable for rack-to-rack and longer-reach connections within server rooms and wiring closets.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers lower latency and improved signal integrity over longer distances compared with copper, while its multimode design supports common QSFP transceiver interfaces. Lightweight fiber construction reduces cable bulk and eases airflow management in dense rack environments. The AOC's immunity to electromagnetic interference makes it reliable in electrically noisy environments, and the fixed QSFP-to-QSFP connections eliminate the need for separate transceivers and additional module compatibility concerns.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack interconnects in data centers
• High-speed links between switches and aggregation devices
• Server-to-storage connections requiring low latency
• Short- to medium-reach fiber runs inside server rooms

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Optical type: Multimode
• Active optical cable (AOC) design
• Designed for InfiniBand high-speed data links

How to use

Ensure both ends are powered off or ports are in a safe state before insertion. Align each QSFP connector with the equipment QSFP port and insert until the latch engages. Verify link status through the host device or switch management interface. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it to maintain clear airflow and prevent mechanical strain. For removal, release the latch and pull the connector straight out without twisting.

Recommendations

Route the multimode AOC using gentle curves, maintaining the manufacturer's minimum bend radius, and avoid placing it near high-heat sources. Use cable management to prevent stress on QSFP connectors and verify compatibility with host ports supporting QSFP AOC interfaces and InfiniBand protocols.
