Cavo SAS CBO OS6450S-CBL-60-BL 1 m 10 Gbit/s

The BlueOptics SAS cable OS6450S-CBL-60-BL is a 1 m internal SAS link engineered for 10 Gbit/s environments. It connects SAS controllers, expanders and drives inside servers and storage enclosures to form reliable short-range links for RAID arrays, backups and high-throughput storage tasks. The cable’s compact length and design make it suitable for dense server racks and constrained internal layouts where signal integrity and consistent transfer rates are required.

Advantages

This SAS cable supports data rates up to 10 Gbit/s and is optimized for short internal connections, reducing latency between devices. Its 1 m length minimizes excess cabling and improves airflow within chassis. The connector design ensures secure mating with compatible SAS ports and maintains signal integrity for RAID and other storage configurations. The cable is designed for use in professional server and data center environments where durability and predictable performance are important.

Suitable for

• Connecting SAS controllers to expanders or direct-attached drives inside servers
• Short internal links in storage enclosures and rack-mounted systems
• RAID arrays and backup servers requiring consistent 10 Gbit/s throughput
• Environments where compact cable routing and maintained airflow are necessary

Key specifications

• Length: 1 meter
• Rated data transfer: 10 Gbit/s
• Type: Internal SAS cable for server/storage use
• Application: Short-range connections between SAS controllers, expanders and drives

How to use

Install the cable by aligning connectors with the SAS ports on the controller, expander or drive and press gently until the connector seats firmly. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and to maintain chassis airflow; secure with cable ties or routing clips if available. Verify connections in the server management interface or RAID controller utility and run a quick device recognition or health check to ensure the link is active before returning the system to production.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical stress on the cable and connectors. Use the 1 m length to keep cable paths short and tidy inside the chassis, and perform regular inspection of connector seating during maintenance intervals. Match the cable to compatible SAS ports and adhere to server vendor guidance for hot-swap procedures when connecting or disconnecting drives.
