BlueOptics Q28-AOC-1M-CO-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 1 m QSFP28 maschio

The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-1M-CO-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 1m QSFP28 Male is a 1-metre active optical cable designed for high-bandwidth interconnects in data centers and enterprise networking environments. With QSFP28 connectors on both ends, this cable supports high-speed InfiniBand links and short-reach connections between switches, servers, and network appliances. Its single-metre length makes it suitable for rack-to-rack or intra-rack connections where low latency and signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This 1m QSFP28 Active Optical Cable provides the signal quality and bandwidth required for demanding InfiniBand applications while reducing electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. The QSFP28 male connectors deliver consistent mechanical fit and electrical performance. The compact 1-metre form factor minimizes cable clutter in dense rack installations and helps maintain airflow and cable management standards in data center racks.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections within racks
• InfiniBand fabrics and HPC cluster interconnects
• Short-reach connections in data center topologies where QSFP28 interfaces are used

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 male on both ends
• Length: 1 metre
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed data interconnects
• Suitable environment: Data center and enterprise networking racks

How to use

Insert the QSFP28 male connectors into compatible QSFP28 ports on network switches, host adapters, or servers, ensuring proper alignment and a secure latch. The cable is intended for short-reach optical links; avoid excessive bending near the connector and maintain the specified minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. No additional transceivers are required when using this AOC; it provides a direct optical link between QSFP28 ports.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, keep connectors clean and protected when not in use, and verify compatibility with QSFP28 ports and InfiniBand link settings on connected devices before deployment.
