BlueOptics QSFP-100G-D-AOC-25M-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 25 m connettore/connettore

The BlueOptics QSFP-100G-D-AOC-25M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 25m Male/Male is an active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors designed for 100G high-speed links over multi-mode fiber. With a 25 metre length and male-to-male QSFP28 terminations, this AOC integrates transmitters and receivers in the transceivers to carry optical signals in compliance with 100GBASE-SR4-compatible interfaces. The cable is intended for use in data center and high-performance computing environments where reliable 100G connectivity between switches, routers and servers is required.

Advantages

The BlueOptics 25m QSFP28 AOC provides a factory-integrated solution that eliminates separate transceiver modules and patch cords, reducing connection points and simplifying installations. Its multi-mode optical design supports 100GBASE-SR4-compatible operation and is compatible with hardware platforms that accept QSFP-100G-D-AOC type AOCs. The passive handling and integrated optics deliver consistent signal quality for short-reach 100G links within racks and across adjacent racks.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 100G links between switches and servers in data centers
• Interconnects in high-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand environments
• Connections between aggregation switches and top-of-rack switches over 25 m distances
• Environments that require QSFP28 to QSFP28 direct connectivity without separate transceivers

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28 to QSFP28 (male/male)
• Length: 25 metres
• Technology: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transmitter and receiver
• Supported data rate: up to 100 Gbit/s compatible with 100GBASE-SR4 applications
• Fiber type: multi-mode fiber for short-reach connections
• Typical use case: in-rack and between-adjacent-rack 100G connectivity

How to use

Insert each QSFP28 connector into the corresponding QSFP28 port on the networking devices, ensuring the latch engages and the connector is fully seated. No additional transceivers or patch cords are required; the cable provides integrated optics for both transmit and receive channels. Verify device compatibility and port configuration for 100G or 100GBASE-SR4 operation in the equipment firmware or operating system before placing the link into production.

Recommendations

Store and handle the AOC carefully to avoid tight bends or excessive pulling. Maintain minimum bend radius recommended for multi-mode AOCs and route the cable to prevent sharp bends, crushing or kinking. Confirm compatibility with your switch or server vendor's supported AOC list and test links in a maintenance window before deployment in production environments.
