BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-15M-CN-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 15 m maschio/maschio

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-15M-CN-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15-metre active optical cable with QSFP connectors on both ends. It provides a single, factory-terminated link for high-speed connections between QSFP-enabled network devices, combining optical transmission with the convenience of a cable assembly. The design supports low-latency, high-bandwidth data transfer suitable for modern data centre and server-to-switch interconnects.

Advantages

This QSFP active optical cable offers long-reach connectivity without the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing component count and simplifying installation. The factory-terminated QSFP interfaces ensure consistent performance and signal integrity over the full 15 m length. The cable’s optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference and heat dissipation compared with equivalent copper assemblies, supporting stable operation in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• High-speed links between QSFP-enabled switches and servers
• InfiniBand clusters requiring low-latency interconnects
• Data centre spine and leaf connections over moderate distances
• Network upgrades where space and heat reduction are priorities

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Nominal length: 15 metres
• Transmission medium: Multimode optical fiber within AOC assembly
• Typical use: Short to moderate reach, high-bandwidth data links

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-15M-CN-BO by inserting each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your devices until the connector latch engages. Ensure both endpoints are QSFP-compatible and that device firmware supports active optical cable modules. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and avoid placing undue mechanical stress on the connectors. No separate transceiver configuration is required for standard QSFP ports supporting AOC assemblies.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radii above the manufacturer’s minimum to preserve optical performance, avoid exposure to liquids or excessive dust, and handle connectors by their housings. Verify device compatibility with QSFP AOC modules and confirm link settings in the device management interface after connection.
