BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-QL-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 25 m SFP+ maschio

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-QL-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 25m SFP+ Male is a 25-metre active optical cable engineered for high-speed 10 Gigabit connectivity between SFP+ ports. It provides a fixed-length optical link with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed to connect network switches, servers and storage equipment with low latency and stable throughput over a 25 m span.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers low signal attenuation and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling, making it suitable for dense data centre environments. The integrated SFP+ male connectors simplify installation by matching standard SFP+ ports without additional transceivers. Using an optical medium reduces heat and power consumption in comparison with equivalent copper solutions while maintaining 10 Gbps line rate and reliable error performance.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between SFP+ ports on switches and servers in data centres
• High-throughput links for storage area networks and clustered servers
• Short- to medium-range InfiniBand or Ethernet 10 Gbps connections up to 25 metres

Key specifications

• Optical interface: SFP+ male connectors on both ends
• Application: InfiniBand / 10 Gigabit Ethernet compatible
• Length: 25 metres
• Transmission rate: 10 Gbps
• Medium: active optical cable (AOC) for reduced electromagnetic interference
• Low latency link suitable for high-density rack environments

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP+ ports and support active optical cables. Power down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by your hardware vendor if necessary, then insert each SFP+ end into the corresponding port until it latches. Verify link status through the device management interface or LEDs. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required; the cable provides a direct optical connection between ports.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and protect it from mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer. Use cable management accessories to secure the AOC and keep it clear of hot airflow paths. Confirm firmware and hardware compatibility with the switch or server vendor to ensure link stability and correct module recognition.
