BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-EE-BO cavo ottico attivo SFP28, 25 m, color menta

BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-EE-BO is an active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, 25 m length and mint colour, designed for 25G/28G interconnects in data centres and network equipment that support SFP28 ports. The cable integrates transceivers at each end to convert electrical signals to optical and back, enabling high-speed links between switches, servers and storage using multimode fibre while keeping a lightweight profile of 0.15 kg.

Advantages

The SFP28 Active Optical Cable provides low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity for short-reach applications up to 25 m, supporting data rates up to 25 Gbit/s. Its SFP28-to-SFP28 form factor follows common MSA standards for interoperability with equipment supporting SFP28 modules. The cable's lightweight construction and mint-coloured sheath simplify cable management and identification in dense rack environments without adding strain to ports.

Suitable for

• 25G inter-switch links in data centre topologies
• Server to switch connections where SFP28 ports are available
• Storage area network (SAN) and high-speed I/O applications
• Short-reach multimode fibre runs within equipment rooms or racks

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Length: 25 m
• Fibre type: multimode (integrated transceivers for optical signalling)
• Weight: 0.15 kg
• Colour: mint

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-EE-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the module locks in place. Ensure both ends are seated firmly and that connected devices are powered and configured to use 25G links. No separate transceiver modules or patch cords are required. For initial deployment, verify link negotiation and speed settings via device management interfaces and monitor link status LEDs to confirm a stable connection.

Recommendations

Place and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Use the mint colour for easy visual identification in mixed-cable environments. For compatibility, connect to equipment that supports SFP28 ports and 25G operation and consult device documentation for any required firmware or configuration settings.
