BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-IA-BO cavo AOC SFP28, 25 m, maschio-maschio, color menta

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-IA-BO is a direct-attach active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25 m rack-to-rack and server interconnects. This mint-coloured, lightweight cable is intended for high-speed InfiniBand and 25GbE links between switches, routers and servers where short-reach multi-mode optical connections are required. The cable integrates transceiver electronics at each end to transmit and receive optical signals over multi-mode fiber, following SFP28 form-factor compatibility for straightforward deployment in compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

The AOC design provides lower weight and improved airflow in data centre environments compared with equivalent copper assemblies while supporting 25 Gbit/s data rates over a 25 m distance. SFP28-to-SFP28 connectivity ensures plug-and-play insertion into SFP28 ports that accept active optical modules. The mint-coloured jacket aids visual identification in dense cabling runs, and the compact form factor reduces rack congestion.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25GbE links between switches and top-of-rack servers
• InfiniBand interconnects where SFP28 AOC modules are supported
• Data centre and rack-to-rack multi-mode optical connections
• High-density cabling environments requiring lightweight optical cables

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type (both ends): SFP28
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Transmission medium: active optical, multi-mode fiber
• Product colour: mint
• Weight: 0.15 kg

How to use

Confirm that both network devices have SFP28 ports that accept active optical modules and that the link speed is configured for 25GbE or the required InfiniBand profile. Remove dust caps from the SFP28 connectors, align each connector with the module slot, and insert until the latch engages. Verify link status on both devices and configure interface settings as needed. For removal, release the connector latch and extract the module carefully to avoid stressing the cable or ports.

Recommendations

Install and route the AOC to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multi-mode optical cables. Use the mint colour to mark and separate 25GbE/AOC links from other cabling. For best reliability, operate within recommended ambient temperature ranges for connected equipment and verify interoperability with target devices before large-scale deployment.
